Hay un refrán que se usa mucho entre los puertorriqueños. Decimos, “1, 2, 3…pan, chocolate, y café.”
Y es cierto. Esas tres cosas hacen una excelente combinación.
Llevo más de dos meses de visita con familia en Puerto Rico. Ha sido a veces una aventura emocionante, y a veces una experiencia espiritual. Pero de las actividades que más he disfrutado es degustar y aprender sobre el café y el papel crucial que juega mi bebida favorita en mi isla.
Así que, ¿qué mejor manera para culminar mi viaje que esta? ¡Mañana participaré del Coffee & Chocolate Expo aquí en Puerto Rico! (Sí, nos falta el pan…lo sé.)
Estaré compartiendo mis experiencias, aprendizaje, y mis degustaciones en las redes sociales, claro.

There’s a saying that we Puerto Ricans use a lot. It goes, “1, 2, 3…bread, chocolate, and coffee!” (It rhymes in Spanish; trust me!)
And, it’s true. Those three things make an excellent combination.
I have spent over two months visiting with family in Puerto Rico. It has been, at times, an exciting adventure, and other times, a spiritual experience. But among the activities I’ve most enjoyed is tasting and learning about coffee and the crucial role my favorite drink plays on my island.
So, what better way for this trip to culminate than with this? Tomorrow, I’ll be participating in the Coffee & Chocolate Expo here in Puerto Rico! (Yes, we’re still missing the bread, I know.)
