In the heart of New York City exists a place which, upon my entering, manages to transport me to a simpler time– and to another country!
Le Pain Quotidien is a chain restaurant that you’ll find almost anywhere in the city. During my six-day visit there, I insisted on eating there the day we were leaving for Orlando. After nearly a week of rushing, hustle-bustle, traffic and noise, I wanted to eat at a place that was, ironically, precisely what I needed on this last day.
Its calm, countrified atmosphere is reminiscent of the the region of Provence in France.

Me encanta Le Pain Quotidien! Realmente se siente la calidad en los ingredientes y los pastelitos son una delicia. Me gustan sobre todo las tartaletas que hacen, y me parece lo maximo que pongan Nutella en la mesa para que te sirvas con el pan del desayuno. Yum!
I love Le Pain Quotidien! You can really feel the quality of the ingredients in every dish. I love their pastry too, specially the fruit tartlets, and I think it´s a nice touch that they put Nutella on the table for you to spread on your bread. Yum!
The food looks delish y esa taza de cafe Mmmmmmmmm
So lovely! How is it that I live in NYC and have no idea about this place…googling it now! 🙂 Glad you enjoyed your time here!
We have Le Pain Quotidien here in L.A. I love sitting at their communal table and drinking from their handle-less mugs. OMG and I love their olive bread and tapenade too. Delicious!
Very cute! So many finds in NYC that I’ve never visited and I’ve lived in NYC for 11 years off and on!
that’s one of the lovely things about NYC! so many places to explore. I’ll make sure to visit next time I’m up there. Love the pics!
That place looks gorgeous! And I would love that fruit plate. 🙂
You are making me miss NYC! I want to visit this place and have that dessert.
LOL – this place is at the corner of my office, I pass by it every day however, not once have I ever stepped inside. One day I will. Glad you enjoyed!
Funny… for as many times as often as I’ve been to NYC (I even lived there for a year) I’ve never been to Le Pain Quotidien! I’ll have to check it out next time I’m there, later this month. 🙂
That place sounds fabulous! We don’t have too many of those trendy/hip cafes. Thanks for sharing!
